Description
Bodegas Laureatus  is a relatively new winery established by the Oubiña-Somoza family, who for decades have been recognised as one of the best suppliers of shellfish in Spain.  Laureano Oubiña's long held ambition to make wine was realised with the purchase of a vineyard in the Val do Salnés area of Rías Baixas. The ground in this area is coarse, sandy and rich in silica. The vineyard is on sloping land with a south to south west orientation to provide the perfect microclimate for the production and ripening of quality grapes.

Bodegas Laureatus are focused exclusively on the production of quality wines using the Albariño grape. The modern winery uses state of the art equipment, combined with traditional techniques such as hand harvesting and selection of the grapes. To preserve the flavour characteristics, fermentation takes place at low temperatures, in stainless steel tanks and the wine is refrigerated during blending and bottling.
Tasting notes
Intense on the nose, with notes of citrus, apple and pear, aromatic fennel and tropical fruit. A fresh wine with a balanced acidity and persistancy on the palate.
Food match
The perfect accompaniment to fish, lean white meat and delicate vegetarian dishes.
