Amarone, being made from grapes dried until at least the December after harvest, is always a powerful and opulent wine and is a style that's seen a marked rise in popularity in recent years. Aged for three years thereafter the result is an intense wine, almost black in colour, with a full and sensuous mouth feel. The tannins are really well integrated and balance perfectly with the mellow acidity. |
