| Cote Rotie is where it all started for Guigal, so this has always been a special wine in the portfolio. 4% of Viognier is co-fermented with the Syrah as is the tradition of Cote Rotie. The wine then spends an impressive 36 months in Oak barrels (50% new). This is a wine of decadence with concentrated dark fruits aromas combining with notes of vanilla and white pepper. The palate is rich but with a fine line of acidity keeping it lively. There is plenty of ageing potential with this wine but the palate is sufficiently juicy to enjoy it now. |

| A full-bodied and powerful red wine, and yet has real finesse too. Concentrated black cherry, blueberry, and cassis intermingle with notes of violets, black pepper, smoke, vanilla, coffee bean, and leather. This will age and further develop savoury notes of smoked bacon and exotic spice. |
