Today fourth generation family member Chester makes distinctive wines using traditional and sustainable methods both in the vineyard and the winery. From entry level to iconic, d’Arenberg wines are basket pressed with red wines placed in small batch open fermenters and foot trod. Known for an eclectic portfolio of oddly named wines and a bold red stripe that adorns each bottle, the range is considerable with over 70 wines and 36 grape varieties, with styles that include white, red, fortified, sparkling & dessert. |

| The nose evokes all those childhood memories of picking wild blackberries, mulberries and raspberries, complete with woody spice and brambly notes. The palate shows further layers of complexity woven through the sweet berry fruits. Earthiness shines through, perhaps even a suggestion of rich beef reduction, leather and walnut. Chewy tannins complete this generous and complex wine. |
