Auchentoshan American Oak was introduced in 2014 to replace the Classic. Matured exclusively in first-fill bourbon casks, this is a vanilla-rich and fruity whisky.
Tasting notes
Toffee popcorn wafts out of the glass, with some sweet spice from the oak and hint of candied orange peel. Some fresh lemon zestiness brightens things up, along with that classic Auchentoshan grassiness. Single cream up front, with grapefruit peel, coconut, cinnamon and clove. The grass and porridge notes from the nose rise, along with unripe peach, green apple and some oak spice.
