Edoardo Miroglio - a textile manufacturer in Italy - always dreamt of making Pinot Noir in Piemonte. Once he realised just how expensive this would be, he reconsidered his options and found that Bulgaria's Thracian Valley shares a similar soil and climate to Burgundy. This has that quintessential, evocative Pinot aroma: cherry and strawberry show in spades alongside sous bois, cinnamon and sandalwood notes.
