| Bright raspberry and cherry on the nose with some hints of mint and mulling spices, delicate oak and a subtle slightly meaty savoury character, with a touch of stem giving it a delicate green herbaceous note which is in no way a bad thing. On the palate it's bright juicy fruit to the fore allied to subtle oak and again a slight green character, hints of cooked plum and spice. A touch of stem too to add complexity and this is really very good for the price. Not at all overtly new world in its flavour spectrum. Lovely acidity keeps the whole fresh and very appealing. |
